Where can you launch a boat on Jordan Lake?
Jordan Lake is a state recreation area, so nearly all public launching happens at park access areas rather than private marinas. Each access area has a paved ramp, trailer parking and restrooms, and each one puts you on a different part of the lake.
If you are renting from us you can skip this entirely - we bring the skis and launch them. This guide is for anyone trailering their own boat or personal watercraft, and for riders who want to understand the lake before they arrive.
The main access areas
Seaforth is the best known access on the east side, with a swim beach next to the ramp area, and it is the closest for most people coming from Cary and Apex.
Ebenezer Church sits just north of Seaforth and is another popular east-side launch with a beach area.
Vista Point is on the west shore and reaches the wide southern water quickly.
Crosswinds is on the north end near the marina area and is a common launch for people coming from Durham and Chapel Hill.
Parkers Creek, Poplar Point and New Hope Overlook round out the access areas, each opening onto quieter water than the busiest ramps.
How to pick a ramp
Pick on drive time first. The lake is big enough that fifteen minutes of extra driving is usually faster than riding across to the far side.
Pick on crowding second. Summer weekends fill the popular east-side ramps early in the morning; the quieter access areas often still have trailer parking at midday.
Pick on water third. The southern and main-channel stretches are wide and open. The northern arms are narrower with more shoreline and coves.

Bring your registration, life jackets for everyone aboard, and a plan for where you will meet if your group arrives in separate cars.
